The laying of another trawler for Kamchatka fishermen took place in Rybinsk

On October 22, 2021, the keel of the second of three trawlers for Kamchatka fishermen was laid in Rybinsk. The vessels are intended for fishing for pollock, cod, flounder, squid and navaga in the Far East. A series of 3 trawlers is being built by Nobel Brothers Shipyard specialists within the framework of the investment quotas program commissioned by Sokra Fish Processing Plant LLC.

The plant is part of the 41 Region group of companies and supplies products to various regions of Russia and 11 countries. The enterprise catches fish in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Kamchatka and processes catches on the coast.

The head of the Federal Agency for Fishery, Ilya Shestakov, in his welcoming speech to the participants of the ceremony, noted the importance of updating the fleet for Kamchatka, one of the most fishy regions of the country, and thanked the fish producers for their active participation in the modernization of the industry's production capacities and investing in the development of the domestic fishing industry.

“I am confident that the new vessels that replenish the fleet in the main basins of our country will increase the efficiency of the economy of enterprises, the prestige of working at sea and ensure the best quality of fish products. I wish the project participants success, prosperity and high results in your work!" - said Ilya Shestakov.

Medium-tonnage fishing vessel of project T40B with a length of 44.15 m is intended for fishing with bottom trawls, pelagic trawls and snur-rearing and transporting the catch with the help of a liquid ice system to an onshore fish processing plant.

The descent of the trawler is scheduled for autumn 2022.
