Price
The average CIF price of catfish fillets –basa and panga- imported in April was USD 4,466/t, down 9% on that of February and up 7% on that of April 2018. In the first four months, the average was USD 4,899/t, up 24% on that of the same period last year.

Market
In April, incoming volumes of frozen fillets of catfish -basa and panga- reported 2,597 tonnes, worth CIF USD 11,597,000, down 43% in volume and 49% in value on those imported in the previous month and down 57% in volume and 54% in value on those of April 2018.

In the first four-month period of the year, they totalled 22,956 tonnes for USD 1112,468,000, down 7% in volume and 15% in value than in the previous year. Vietnam was the supplier of 22,375 tonnes while China was the source of 579 tonnes.
