Price
The average CIF price of fillets –basa and panga- imported in March was USD 4,915/t, down 1% on that of February and up 24% on that of March 20187. In the first three months, the average was USD 4,955/t, up 28% on that of the same period last year.

Market
In March, 4,587 tonnes of frozen fillets of catfish (basa and panga) were entered for a CIF value of USD 22,546,000, down 30% in volume and 31% in value than that imported in the previous month and 25% lower volume and 6% value than the imported in March 2018.

In the first quarter of the year, they totalled 20,359 tonnes for USD 100,871,000, up 9% in volume and 39% in value than in the previous year. Vietnam was the supplier of 19,779 tonnes while China was the source of 579 tonnes.
