Located in the San Pablo commune of the Santa Elena canton, Santa Elena province, Ecuador, since 1999 we have been dedicated to the production of Litopenaeusvannamei shrimp nauplii and larvae. In 2003, Texcumar S.A. It was acquired by Ing. Rafael Verduga who through a restructuring process and the support of a high quality technical and administrative team have made Texcumar the main maturing and larviculture in Ecuador with great renown in the shrimp market.
Texcumar has the largest installed capacity for the production of nauplii and larvae in Ecuador, 300 million nauplii per day in three maturation facilities and 720 million larvae per month in its larviculture laboratory. This allows it to produce with the strictest mass selection processes in a closed cycle, a process in charge of the Genetic Improvement Program of the company directed by the PhD. Joao Rocha, which includes shrimp groups of great importance in the country. Texcumar's Genetic Improvement Program is based on parameters of reproduction, growth, survival and resistance to diseases that includes individual analysis for IHHNV.
