Bjarne, the founder of the Skeiegruppen, began his career as an engineer and showed his business acumen early on. In 1971, as a 26-year-old, he established Maritime Hydraulics AS with a modest equity capital. Through acquisitions and organic growth, his companies grew, including Skeie eiendom and Skeie technology, and were listed on the stock exchange as Skeie Group.
