The Unima group has total integration of the international distribution of products with established subsidiaries in France, Spain and Portugal. It continued with the creation of an aquaculture feed production plant and a cooking workshop near Boulogne sur Mer, in Hauts de France.
Unima committed to an innovative ecological and social approach , with the foundation and transformation of the village of Besakoa (education, health, well-being, etc.), a tree planting program and the preservation of local biodiversity . These commitments have been widely acclaimed by NGOs (WWF, BLUE VENTURES, etc.) who have been working hand in hand with Unima for years.
In 2004 , the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food granted Label Rouge certification to shrimp from Unima, the first non-European food company to obtain this prestigious label. The Group then launched into the farming of certified organic shrimp.
Today the Unima Group remains a company recognized worldwide for the production of an eco-responsible shrimp, exceptional by nature.
Our prawns come from selective fishing or low-density aquaculture . In an environment close to their natural environment (the mangrove), they are fed without antibiotics, without GMOs and without PAT. All their organoleptic and nutritional qualities are preserved by excellent control of the cold chain, from harvesting to distribution in stores, via our cooking workshop located in France in Boulogne-sur-Mer.
