The Cooperative carried out its main activity in Andalusia. In recent years this activity has been expanded to neighboring Portugal. Currently seven of the associated ships are under the Portuguese flag. Due to the cross-border nature of our partners and our fishing activity, we requested and obtained in February 2018 the recognition as a Transnational Producer Organization. Previously, in June 2017, the Association was recognized as a Producers Organization, we are the OPP-80.
Our fleet has 46 vessels that add 40% of the quotas of the Gulf of Cádiz and around 80% of the quotas of the bottom trawl census of Portugal. The catches include a great variety of species, more than 100, the most important being shrimp, hake, Norway lobster, blue whiting, octopus and several shrimp species.
