The history of Plugge Zeevis goes back to the year 1930, when Mr Plugge started a fish stall in The Hague. In the 1960s, the fish stall was expanded with a cargo bike and he also sold the fish door-to-door. The fish was brought to the man by wind and weather. The step to the weekly markets was also made.
Through the market trade and later the sale of herring, the idea for a wholesaler was born. The Plugge family is an enterprising family: the third Plugge generation is now at the helm and continues to operate the wholesale business.
Plugge Zeevis supplies a complete range of fish, crustaceans and shellfish and related products to fish shops, market traders and other wholesalers. Our buyers sell our products to the end user and therefore the quality must be excellent. There is a great variety in quality in the supply of the fish auction and importers. Our products are of top quality and are purchased by customers who recognize and appreciate good fish.
Customers buy their fish directly from our wholesaler in Scheveningen or we deliver to customers' doorsteps. We have been visiting some customers for about 30 years. We have built a relationship with our customers and know we can trust each other. We consider it self-evident that we honor agreements, deliver top quality and have a wide range in stock.
