On June 3, 1994, a group of Primorye fishing enterprises created the Primorye Fishermen's Association, a public organization uniting various fishing companies of Primorsky Krai to develop common strategically important decisions to improve the state of the fisheries complex of the region and the country.
On May 24, 1996, the association was reorganized into a non-profit organization - the Association of Fishing Enterprises of Primorye (ARPP).
The creation of ARPP was caused by the awareness of the fishing industry of the need to increase the effectiveness of the protection of the professional and social rights and interests of enterprises - members of the Association, the relationship with government structures of all categories, the introduction of the latest economic and technological practices, the coordinated increase in the efficiency of the fishery and the quality of manufactured products.
