Enhancing its competitiveness and increased production as well as the rational use of resources and environmental protection.

We exercise competence in fisheries and aquaculture planning, industrial fishery, medium and large enterprise aquaculture, industrial standardization; as well as controlled products, productive innovation and technology transfer.

We promote the harmonious development of the productive ecosystems of fishery, aquaculture, industry, micro, small, medium and large companies, internal trade and cooperatives.

We revalue the artisanal fishing, we promote the production for direct human consumption and we look for to improve the conditions of life of the fisherman.

Our mission is to promote the development of the agents of the productive sector, promoting innovation, quality and environmental sustainability, contributing to the competitiveness of the sector.

The sector is integrated by the National Fisheries Development Fund (FONDEPES); Institute of the Sea of Peru (IMARPE); Fisheries Health Agency (SANIPES); Technological Institute of Production (ITP); National Institute of Quality (INACAL); National Program To Eat Fish, INNOVATE PERÚ Program; Innovation Program in Fisheries and Aquaculture; Program of Productive Diversification, Your Company Program and the commissions, initiatives, projects within the scope of its competence, political and functional responsibility.
