At present, the TINRO Center, along with Vladivostok group of research units include Khabarovsk, Chukotka branches and base research fleet, including 16 own specialized research vessels equipped with modern navigation, search and research equipment.
Since 2019, the institute, together with other research and development fisheries organizations of the Federal Agency for Fishery in accordance with the Order of the Minister of Agriculture N. Patrushev, was reorganized and joined the VNIRO system as a branch. However, coordination and research is still an important part of TINRO's work. Under the new conditions, the relevance of scientific cooperation and the exchange of opinions of specialists has increased, both from the point of view of studying aquatic biological resources, and from the point of view of scientific support for their rational use.
