The Technical Cooperation Service (SERCOTEC) is a private corporation, a subsidiary of Corporacion de Fomento de la Produccion (CORFO) existing as of June 30, 1952 by signing a cooperative agreement for technical assistance, which attended the Corporacion de Fomento de la Producción, the Chilean Government and the Institute of Inter-American Affairs, representing the U.S. Government.
Since SERCOTEC manages and operates state resources for the sole purpose of financial management of those resources, is considered within the public sector.
