The parent company GenoMar AS was incorporated in Oslo, Norway in 1996. In 2007, total revenues in the parent company GenoMar AS amounted to NOK 5.6 million and profit after tax of NOK 1.8 million. GenoMar AS in Norway holds all intellectual property rights developed since the start-up of the company.
During the second quarter of 2008, GenoMar completed a capital increase of 2,348,996 new shares at NOK 25.00 per share, in total NOK 58,724.900.

GenoMar keeps the GenoMar Supreme Tilapia ™ (GST) broodstock in its facilities in the Philippines. Tee broodstock is derived from the Nile tilapia from a worldwide comprehensive breeding program (GIFT) and is currently in the 24th generation.
From GenoMar Supreme Hatchery China our GST™ is sold on to leading tilapia farmers who are in particular focusing on delivering to the quality conscious international export markets.
Through the company Trapia, GenoMar is able to implement and develop the company’s vertical integration strategy for tilapia production. Trapia is using GST™ fingerlings to grow market size tilapia in GenoMar’s grow-out facilities. Each fingerling used is pre-tagged, traceable and verifiable throughout the value chain, ensuring food safety and security.
