The Anglo-Scottish Fish Producers' Organisation was registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965 on the 14th of March 1974. The Anglo-Scottish PO is now in membership of the Scottish Association of FPOs. This allows the organisations to discuss any problems within the industry.
The group has 55 registered members from all fishing sectors which operate mainly in area IVb and the Norwegian sector. The economic area of the organisation stretches from Whitby to Gourdon.
