Coming from the southernmost waters of the Argentine Sea, Patagonian Hake stands out for its quality throughout the world.
We are aware that our Argentine Sea, like all the seas in the world, is fragile and its resources are not inexhaustible. For this reason, fishing must be carried out in such a way as to impact the ecosystem as little as possible, be based on the best scientific advice available and respect the rules that regulate the activity. Responsible fishing practices allow a sustainable exploitation of our resources. For this, we promote the necessary changes in the culture of the fishing sector that tend to greater environmental and social responsibility and allow evolution towards the concept of responsible fishing and ecosystem-based fishing management.
For many years now, the companies that have caught toothfish in a directed manner in the Argentine Sea have had a close relationship with science in our country. It matters to us and we are extremely interested that all scientific knowledge is the basis of the best decisions for the management of the fishery. For this reason, we actively participate and have made our ships and facilities on land available on numerous occasions, as well as support to acquire equipment and scientific supplies for the most diverse research tasks.
