Norcod is the result of a comprehensive evaluation project over the past few years where we have looked at the possibilities of making an industrial venture on cod again. The conclusion of the project was that the prerequisites for building this industry have never been better based on the main factors of genetics, quality and market.
Our strategy is to take part in the entire value chain to keep our processes in control and to ensure better margins. The largest shareholder is Sirena Group which is a global player with headquarters in Denmark and offices, warehouses and factories in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, USA, Canada and China. This results in the production and market working together from day one to build stability in all parts of the value chain, where we now have control to accommodate solid industrial growth over the next few years.
The project is supported by relevant suppliers, research environments and innovative environments where everyone have the opinion that one should actively contribute to building this into a sustainable industry.
