PRFoods AS, formerly Premia Foods AS, is an Estonia-based company engaged in the food industry sector. The Company operates through three business segments: Fish segment covers fish farming, production and wholesale of fish and fish products; Ice cream segment is involved in the production and wholesale of ice cream, and Frozen food segment covers wholesale of frozen goods. The Company owns such brands as Aurora, Bueno, Viking, Eriti Rammus and Premia, among others.
The Company markets its products domestically, as well as abroad in Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Russia. As of December 31, 2010, the Company’s wholly owned subsidiaries included Saaremere Kala AS, Vettel OU, GourmetHouse OU, Premia Tallinna Kulmhoone AS, TCS Invest OU, Premia KPC AB, Heimon Kala OY, Overumans Fisk Ab, Skargardshavets Fisk Ab, FFLS SIA, Premia FFL AS, Khladokombinat No 1 OOO and Khladomagija OOO. On April 8, 2010, the Company acquired a 20% holding in AS Toidu- ja Fermentatsioonitehnoloogia Arenduskeskus.
Shareholders approved the purchase of John Ross Jr (Aberdeen) and Coln Valley Smokery on the EGM held on 19.07.2017 and the purchase of Trio Trading Ab Oy on the EGM held on 28.08.2017. The EGM held on 11.12.2017 approved changing the financial year of the Group to last from 01.07 till 30.06. As a result, the financial year of 2017/2018 lasts atypically for 18 months.
