BioMar has established two companies in Costa Rica , BioMar Aquacorporation Products and BioMar Aquaculture Corporation , the latter is entirely part of BioMar Group of Danish origin, which was established in 1962 as Ørredfoder Dansk A / S.
Today BioMar is one of the top three suppliers of fish food and world leader in its sector level.
The main business areas of the group are food for Atlantic salmon, trout and coho salmon in Chile, Norway and the UK, for freshwater trout , bass and bream in the rest of Europe and tilapia and marine species in Central America.
Approximately one in four fish aquaculture in Europe and Chile are fed with food BioMar.
The BioMar Group produces and markets food in 60 countries and over 30 different species of fish.
The product range of BioMar cover all the life cycle of the fish , from larvae and fry until the final cycle , the more specific term diets and pre - harvest. Also including specific diets for broodstock; diets with added value and functional diets.
