Ace Aquatec is dedicated to the Aquaculture industry. It was formed in December 1999 when its founder, John Ace-Hopkins, bought the Aquaculture interests from Thomson-Marconi. The company developed the Silent Scrammer range of seal scarers in 2001.
In 2003 Ace Aquatec launched the world's first high speed humane electric stunner. It is estimated that this machine stuns/kills over 80% of UK trout production. Ace Aquatec developed the HS2 in 2007 to deal with marine species and launched the HS3 in 2008 for flat fish.
We produce electrical stunning machines for the humane slaughter of a variety of commercial fish species, including trout, cod, halibut, turbot, seabass, bream, tilapia among others. 95% of UK trout passes through an Ace Aquatec stunner. Stunners allow up to 12 tons per hour. We also produce acoustic deterrents for fish farms, marine fishermen and the offshore industries.
