Barton H. "Buzz" Thompson is a member of the Center for Ocean Solutions (COS) Management Committee.  He is the Perry L. McCarty Director of the Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University, the Robert E. Paradise Professor in Natural Resources Law at Stanford Law School, and a senior fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. A leading expert in environmental and natural resources law and policy, he has contributed a large body of scholarship on environmental issues ranging from the future of fisheries and endangered species to the use of economic techniques for regulating the environment
