Traveling By Bus...

Both Greyhound and Concord Trailways have a Boston-Portland-Bangor Route. They both leave from South Station Bus Termminal in Boston. Greyhound leaves from the Greyhound Station in Portland, and Concord Trailways or Portland leaaves from the new Trailways Transportation Center on Sewall Street.

Take either bus to Bangor. "West Coastal Connection" is a small bus service which runs from Bangor to Eastport in about 2 1/2 hours. It picks up travelers from both the Greyhound and Concord Trailways Stations. Take note, however, that it stops only once in Bangor for the Journey to Eastport. So, to ensure you will not be stranded or waiting all day, it is smart to call ahead and time your arrival accordingly.

Greyhound: 1-800-894-3355

Concord Trailways: 1-800-639-5150

West Coastal Connections: 1-800-596-2823

West Coastal Connections will take you to the junction of Route 1 and then turn off for Eastport - Route 190. There is a small gas station here and conveinence store called "The Wabanaki Mall". Eastport is 7 miles from this point and has a taxi service who frequently picks up travelers here.

Call Sunrise Taxi to bring you onto Moose Island and into Eastport, where most everything else is accessible by walking.
