FEASABILITY STUDY

Feasibility Study 
Designed to help a client move from the "I have an idea" stage. There are various factors to consider in pursuing an abalone farming project; such as a basic evaluation of a site, or sites, under construction for development of abalone farming. 

LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO START ? 

You are considering the idea of farming abalone. You ahve just a basic concept for such a business, or maybe a piece of property, or even some structures that you would like to consider using for abalone farming. 

SO WHERE DO YOU START? 

A Feasability Study from FISHTECH: the cost for each study in minimal and includes transportation to the nearest international airport, housing meals, etc. 

A Feasability Study is usually 2-3 days in length and often includes: 

  • A FISHTECH visit to your site(s) for a first hand evaluation. 
  • Field samling and observation by FISHTECH'S senior professionals. 
  • Data Analysis: 
    1. Water quality and other water wuality parameters. 
    2. Oceanic conditions review (tides, depth, surface, bottom condition, etc.) 
    3. Logistical Resource review (food, labor, access, etc.) 
  • A report detailing the significant advantages, as well as the parameters of concern that will influence development of an abalone farm at each site visited. This report often includes economic considerations over a five year period with rough indications of the costs of specific elements as applicable, such as: 
    1. Cost of hatchery operations. 
    2. Labor requirements. 
    3. Abalone food requirements. 
    4. Market revenue. 
  • Hypothetical Financial Projections over 5-6 years.
