FISHTECH, Inc. is a consulting firm specializing in the development of abalone and other marine species throughout the world. Our headquarters are located in San Francisco, California, USA.

FISHTECH, Inc. began consulting operations in the early 1980's by developing land based salmon projects. The company has been specializing in abalone research and consulting since 1986. During this period of time, FISHTECH has worked on every facet of abalone production from feasibility studies to the design and installation of both ocean-based and land-based facilities.

Additionally, FISHTECH's work has included the development of on-site abalone husbandry training as well as marketing assistance. Some of our earliest projects included work in South America and Asia. FISHTECH maintains staff consultants in North America, Europe and Asia.

FISHTECH works with all of the major commercial species of abalone, ranging from H rufescens, the worlds largest, to H. diversicolor supertesta, one of the world's smallest commercial species.

Projects

FISHTECH is currently working on abalone consistency contracts in Argentina, Canada, Chile, Greece, Ireland, Israel, and Peru in addition to the USA. The services provided by FISHTECH to these various projects range from feasibility studies to complete technology services.

FISHTECH offers services from a simple feasibility study to a turn-key project, from site selection to design--even marketing. The cost?

FISHTECH, INC. can work as your partner---sharing in the risks and the success of your abalone project. We offer the experience, working knowledge, technology, and the desire to help you succeed.

Technology

Our roots are in technology. Starting in 1985 with the first-ever attempts at commercial abalone cultivation in Northern California, we have been designing and developing the latest and most efficient abalone cultivating equipment and methods, both ocean and land based. FISHTECH works with six different ocean cage systems, including the SeaCageTM (Patented & Patents Pending).

Hatchery
FISHTECH has developed abalone seed producing methods that utilize space four times more efficiently and water ten times more effectively.

Land Based Farming
Just as with hatchery technology, FISHTECH has studied and analyzed land-based farming techniques world-wide. Using our Bodega Bay Research Facilities we have found methods to improve water use and increase labor efficiencies.

Ocean Farming
Whether it's ocean cages, barrels, raft or platform culture, long line, or other ocean farming equipment, we are continually working on improvements for use in both the open ocean environment and "bay-like" settings.

People
Finally, FISHTECH is not just a name. It is people. People who are recognized professionals in abalone farming, facilities design and construction, operational management, and worldwide marketing.
