The landing of hydrobiological resources registered a negative interannual variation of 62.7%, as a result of the lower landing of fishing resources for indirect human consumption (-77.5%). Attenuated by the greater landing of canned (+68.8%) and fresh (+10.2%) for direct human consumption.

The processing of hydrobiological resources experienced a drop of 53.4%, compared to January 2023, due to the lower production of anchovy for indirect human consumption (-76.6%). Likewise, it registered a lower production of frozen (-14.7%) and cured (-34.2%).
Domestic sales of fishery products increased at an interannual rate of 11.7%, as a result of the greater sale of fresh products (+4.1%), canned (+30.9%), frozen (+69.4%) and cured (+70.8%). %). In contrast, this result was partially attenuated by the lower marketing of processed products such as residual flour (-71.0%) and crude oil (-77.8%).

The export of fishery products totaled USD 262.6 million, a figure lower by 20.6%, compared to January 2023, influenced by lower shipments of frozen products (-39.4%), residual meal (-32.8%) and fish meal (-23.4 %).
