Over half a century ago, prestige, experience,
and the will of four German families joined to give birth to Mar del Plata
City's first cold storage plant, whose development was based on their broad
knowledge on cold.
Its structure, which present capacity reaches 20.000 cubic meters, is distributed into 30 cold storage-rooms. Since then and for three generations, "Frigorifico Sud-Este S.A" has worked year after year in the specialization of industrial cold for any kind of product, mostly for fish and seafood packing and freezing. Most of Mar del Plata's present largest companies requested our company's service in their early stages. Today, all this experience is shown through our uninterrupted export activity.
An especially conditioned area of 1.600
square meters, has been assigned for processing and packaging commercial
species, which are frozen in 6 tunnels (35 tons per day) and 3 double contact
freezer (4 tons every 3 hours), with a whole storage capacity of 3.000
tons.

Kurt Truppel, Vice-Chairman
of "FRIGORIFICO SUD-ESTE S.A." summarizes the company's commercial strategy
as follows: "We try to concentrate our production on the American market,
to which we mainly supply flounder, grouper and sea trout fillets; the
European market, for which we provide dog-fish, king-clip and rock salmon;
and the eastern market, with specialties such king clip bladders, shark
fins and top shell meat".
In addition, we are specialists in added
value seafood products and at present we count with a fresh export products
division.
Last year we were awarded by the U.S.
Departament of Transportation in recognition for our outstanding work in
support to the United States Merchant Marine.
