Seifur has operated a net loft since 1986 which today is the largest of its kind in Reykjavík. Over the years its focus has been on servicing purse seiners and growing production and maintenance of shrimp trawls.

Many of Iceland's leading shrimpers regularly use trawls from Seifur, which supplies vessels of all types and sizes. Experienced and skilled net riggers are employed on both production and consultancy.

Development

Seifur has undertaken extensive development of trawls for shrimping and other fisheries, and is a major supplier of shrimp trawls to the Icelandic industry.

Wholesale

Alongside its net rigging workshop, Seifur operates a comprehensive wholesaling unit which imports and supplies quality products for trawl-making and fishing services. These include purse seine panels from the Far East and Norway, wire, shackles, etc. from the UK, trawl floats from Spain, and packaging from Denmark, the UK and the Far East - all products that combine favourable price with outstanding quality.

We offer a full range of fishing gear services. This incudes production of new gear as well as repairs and maintenance round-the-clock, anywhere in Iceland.
