Poly-Ice® Block and Block equipment are produced in several different types and up to ten different sizes, ranging from 1.0 to 44.0 tons S.W.L.

Poly-Ice® Trawl blocks are the main products. They are produced with sheaves in sizes 165 x 100mm to 800 x 220mm, ranging from 3.25 to 44.0 tons S.W.L. All sheaves in Poly-Ice® Trawl block equipment are designed and made for long-lasting and safe use.

Poly-Ice® Trawl blocks in larger sizes, from TB 4 to TB 10, are equipped with four roller bearings in sheaves. The larger sizes, from TB 7B to TB 10B, are produced with double-walled plates to provide the widest possible opening for safer working conditions with shackles, chains and swivels.

Poly-Ice® Trawl blocks largest sizes, TB 9B and TB 10B, are available with a thrust bearing system in suspension for easier maneuvering. Other sizes will also be available with thrust bearings in mid 1996. Poly-Ice® Gilson blocks are produced in six different sizes, ranging from 8.0 to 23.0 tons S.W.L. The Gilson blocks are produced with sheaves from 58 x 245mm to 82 x 530mm.

Poly-Ice® Pollards and Deck rollers are produced with sheaves sizes 165 x 100mm to 800 x 220mm All sheaves in Poly-Ice® Trawl Block equipment are designed and made for long-lasting and safe use.

Poly-Ice® Block equipment is also produced in other versions on request and also tailor made for customers with our standard sheaves and also other specially made sheaves.

Poly-Ice® Block equipment is certified by the Icelandic Bureau of Shipping (SR).

The Reykjavík based company J. Hinriksson was established in 1963 and has expanded from a 48 m2 garage workshop to a modern fully equipped 5670 m2 factory.

Production
In addition to the range of the Poly-Ice® Trawl block and Block equipment, the company also produces Poly-Ice® Trawl doors and Poly-Ice® Mid-water doors.

Strong market share
Poly-Ice® Trawl block equipment have been produced since 1965 and are used in most of the Icelandic fishing fleet.

Export
In 1968, J. Hinriksson exported the first Poly-Ice® Trawl block equipment to Norway. Today a majority of newbuildings for Icelandic owners are equipped with Poly-Ice® Trawl block equpment.
