In the eighties, Ecuador begins industrial production and exportation of a product mother nature has offered in a unique way to this country: SHRIMPS.

At the end of this decade, PESCA ECUATORIANA Compañia Limitada (PECIA) is formed, starting with a Shrimp larvae development laboratory and juvenile specimen facility. But the futurist vision goes a long way from there, and the company struggles to conform a srhimp precessing and packing industry, with the most possible added value, capable of suplying international markets, no offering shrimps as raw material, but as a finished product of the finest quality, deserving a place on the most exclusive restaurantes and clients throughout the world.

This futurist vision, this ideal, is today a reality. Five hundred workers process 300,000 pounds of finished value added products that are monthly embarked from our plant to clients in the United States, Europe and Japan. It is the finest shrimp from Ecuador to the international markets.
