With today's ever increasing demand for quality by the consumer, Lucky Union Food saw a niche in the market for the production of surimi-based analogues, particulary in the form of imitation crab meat.
Lucky Union Foods (LUF) is a Board of Investment sponsored joint venture between Thai and Korean partner and was established in June 1990.
The plant is ideally located in samut Sakorn Industrial Estate which is both close to the abundant source of fish produce from the Gulf of Siam and directly connected to the major highways to bangkok and the port.
Lucky Union's reputation is founded upon premium quality and cleanliness. All raw materials and ingredients are carefully checked by our quality control technicians before passing to production.
Compromise is not the name of our game, and sub-standard material is rejected and returned.
The imitation crab meat is hygenically processed and manufactured from carefully selected minced white fish, or surimi, and mixed with wheat starch and egg whites. The natural crab flavouring and colouring is then added to anhance the taste and create an appearance. The entire process is carefully controlled by our "state-of-the-art" processing and freezing machinery.

Nowadays the consumer has become more and more concerned with sanitation on the factory floor.
Our well-trained staff receive regular up-date training programmes on hygene, good manufacturing practises (G.M.P.) and quality improvmentprocesses (Q.I.P.).
