Starting from August 1, the three-month fishing moratorium ended, and the first batch of more than 1,000 fishing boats in Lianyungang, Jiangsu officially entered the fishing season.
As the first batch of seafood has entered the market after the opening of the sea, many citizens have found that the price of seafood such as swimming crabs has dropped a lot.
Lianyungang Ganyu is an important seafood distribution area in northern Jiangsu. According to the reporter's understanding, since the opening of the sea on August 1, Lianyungang Ganyu District has received more than 600 tons of swimming crabs every day. The abundant supply of goods has stimulated the enthusiasm of the market. In a seafood sales market on Haining Road in Lianyungang, freshly arrived seafood such as swimming crabs and Pipi shrimps are placed in eye-catching positions, and there are all kinds of seafood.
Prices have also fallen markedly as seafood hit the market in large quantities. The reporter learned that the price of the most popular swimming crabs at present varies from 30 yuan, 40 yuan to 120 yuan per pound, oriental shrimp is 55 yuan per pound, and Pipi shrimp is 70 yuan per pound dropped by about half.
In spring, crabs are 200 yuan or 300 yuan per unit, and now it is 100 yuan and 3 units, and crabs are considered "the price of Chinese cabbage".
Dagong crab (pool crab), the normal market price is 90 to 95 yuan per unit, and now it sells about 50 yuan per unit, almost half of the price.
However, the prices of artificially farmed products such as prawns and shellfish with large sales during the fishing moratorium, as well as imported seafood such as king crabs, do not fluctuate much. Seafood prices will usher in a new round of decline.
