Total Russian Catch Surpasses 644 Thousand Tons by Mid-February 2026

Sea of Okhotsk Pollock and Herring Campaign Drives Growth in Far Eastern Basin

According to the industry monitoring system of the Federal Agency for Fisheries as of February 16, 2026, the total catch of aquatic bioresources by all Russian fishing operators reached 644.4 thousand tons.

Far Eastern Fishery Basin: 565.7 Thousand Tons

The Far Eastern fishery basin remains the undisputed leader, accounting for 565.7 thousand tons of the national total.

  • Pollock387.8 thousand tons

  • Pacific cod18.4 thousand tons

  • Pacific herring127.9 thousand tons (+1.7 thousand tons compared to 2025)

As part of the 2026 Sea of Okhotsk fishing season, approximately 370 thousand tons of pollock have been harvested nationwide, including 192.3 thousand tons in the Sea of Okhotsk alone.

The Pacific herring catch reached 125.4 thousand tons, exceeding last year’s performance at 101.2% of the 2025 level. Of this volume, 115.4 thousand tons were harvested in the North Okhotsk subzone.

Fishing operations were supported by 74 large-tonnage vessels, 11 medium-tonnage vessels, and 24 transport vessels. Additionally, 32 inspectors supervised transshipment activities to ensure regulatory compliance.

In Primorsky Krai, cold storage facilities for fish products were operating at 33% capacity, while 26 vessels were en route to port carrying a combined 34,300 tons of fish products.

Northern Fishery Basin: 37.7 Thousand Tons (+4.7 Thousand Tons Year-on-Year)

The Northern fishery basin reported a total catch of 37.7 thousand tons, marking an increase of 4.7 thousand tons compared to 2025.

  • Haddock10.5 thousand tons (+5.6 thousand tons year-on-year)

The basin demonstrated notable growth, particularly in haddock landings.

Western Fishery Basin: 10.2 Thousand Tons

In the Western fishery basin, total production reached 10.2 thousand tons.

  • Sprat (kilka)7.7 thousand tons (+0.1 thousand tons compared to 2025)

  • Baltic herring (salak)2.5 thousand tons

Azov–Black Sea Fishery Basin: 5.3 Thousand Tons

The Azov–Black Sea fishery basin recorded a total catch of 5.3 thousand tons, largely driven by:

  • Anchovy5.1 thousand tons

Volga–Caspian Fishery Basin: 4.8 Thousand Tons

The Volga–Caspian fishery basin reported total landings of 4.8 thousand tons, entirely composed of:

  • Sprat4.8 thousand tons

Fishing in International Waters: 20.8 Thousand Tons

Beyond domestic waters, the Russian fleet operating in the exclusive economic zones of foreign states, conventional fishing areas, and the open World Ocean harvested approximately 20.8 thousand tons of aquatic bioresources.

2026年オホーツク海漁期の一環として、全国で約37万トンのスケトウダラが漁獲され、そのうち19万2.3千トンオホーツク海で水揚げされた。

太平洋ニシンの漁獲量は12万5.4千トンに達し、前年実績の2025年比101.2%と上回った。このうち11万5.4千トン北オホーツク亜区域で漁獲された。

操業には大型船74隻中型船11隻、および輸送船24隻が従事した。さらに、32人の検査官が転載作業を監督し、規制遵守を確保した。

沿海地方では、水産物用冷蔵倉庫の稼働率は33%であり、26隻の船舶が合計34,300トンの水産物を積載して港へ向かっている。

北部漁業水域:3万7.7千トン(前年比+4.7千トン)

北部漁業水域の総漁獲量は3万7.7千トンで、2025年比+4.7千トンの増加となった。

伏尔加-里海渔业流域:0.48万吨

伏尔加-里海渔业流域总登陆量为0.48万吨,全部为:

  • 西鲱0.48万吨

国际水域作业:2.08万吨

在国内水域之外,俄罗斯渔船队在外国专属经济区、协议海域以及公海世界海洋捕捞约2.08万吨水生生物资源。
