• The Guardeses Longliners Organization arrives at the Madrid Gourmets Hall with the image of its products completely renewed, but with the same quality that has earned them the success they enjoy, not only in Spain, but also in countries such as the United States, Switzerland or Denmark.
• Chef Emma Pinal prepared several of the "Fishhook Delights", a tasting attended by many people and held at the Consellería do Mar stand.
Madrid - The Gourmets Hall, like Galicia, has an idyllic corner with the smell and taste of the sea called A Guarda. The stand of the Guardeses Longliners Organization is a little piece of the fishing village that this year presents the same quality product as always with a renewed image and with the accent on a desire for sustainability that is born from the way of capturing the pieces . Hence the chosen name: Delicias de Anzuelo.
The Orpagu space at the Consellería do Mar stand was very crowded
With them as raw material, chef Emma Pinal prepared different dishes this afternoon for those attending the Gourmets Hall post-covid. They are products that are already part of the usual menu of many consumers and who want to reach even more. For this reason, Orpagu has worked on more modern presentations (tacos, hamburgers, loins, crumbs ...) so that the preparation of a healthy, nutritious and tasty menu is as comfortable and fast as possible.
Joaquín Cadilla, president of ORPAGU, proudly showing the fruit of years of work and development --->
Swordfish tacos in olive oil; Swordfish burgers; Swordfish belly; Swordfish loins; Hooked tuna loins; Tuna crumbs; Tuna burguers and fish hook tuna belly in olive oil. Such are the products that are releasing a new image these days - the debut was held at Conxemar - and that respond to three premises: quality, health and haste. Because having little time should not be synonymous with eating badly.
The Organization of Guardeses Longliners became involved years ago in the commercialization of its products, as well as in its transformation processes and its direct marketing to the consumer. The success of its store and online sales, as well as the good reception of the new swordfish and tuna presentations, have contributed to strengthening the presence of the brand of these shipowners both in Spain and in the United States, United Kingdom and Switzerland , Denmark, Holland, Portugal and Germany, among other countries.

Orpagu, Europe's leading surface longline organization
Orpagu has become the most important surface longline organization on the continent with a joint production volume, between the Galician and Portuguese partners, that exceeds 5,000 tons per year of swordfish, a turnover of over 60 million euros and more than a thousand direct jobs. The union of A Guarda with Portugal, formally initiated in 2017 with the accession of the first Portuguese fishing company, has a lot to do with this, which gave Orpagu the category of transnational organization. This relationship was strengthened in 2020 with the strategic alliance with Vianapesca, the Peniche Artisanal Fishing Shipowners Cooperative and the Peniche Shipowners Association. In this way, the 39 longliners from A Guarda were joined by another 40 Portuguese who, from that moment, have been unloading in the port of Vigo.
