In Argyll , the company invested $16.9 million into 77 suppliers , while paying $10.3 million in salaries to 193 employees . The Highlands saw more than $13.6 million distributed among 82 suppliers , alongside $4.1 million in wages for a workforce of 55 .

Meanwhile, in Orkney , spending reached $1.75 million across 65 suppliers , with salary costs of $4.8 million supporting 73 jobs spread over nine marine farms .

"Our farming operations depend on many other businesses and, as these figures show, Scottish Sea Farms invests in an extensive supply chain, from Shetland and Orkney to the west coast of Scotland."

The company is also expanding its infrastructure, with a new $9.4 million site at Billy Baa in Shetland set to come online, alongside approved development plans for Fish Holm . These projects are expected to generate additional skilled jobs and further boost economic output.
