In contrast, the prospective survey planned for Subarea 9 was canceled due to a lack of participating vessels interested in conducting the biological assessment.

Overall, the shrimp fleet holds authorization to harvest the species Pleoticus muelleri in Subareas 4, 5, 7, 8, the northwestern quarter and eastern half of Subarea 12, the southern half of Subarea 14, as well as Subareas 15 and 16.

As the third month of operations within the restricted area begins, the largest concentration of vessels is observed in Subareas 7 and 8, even though nearly the entire designated zone remains open for searching and fishing.
