In October 2021, frozen cod imports amounted to 1,789 tons, up 3% from 1,732 tons a year earlier.
In 2021, the cumulative import volume was 23,957 tons, up 64% from 14,596 tons a year earlier.
From 2016 to 2021, the average income was 1,635 tons. In October 2021, imports up 9% compared to 1,789 tons.
The major exporting countries of frozen cod are Russia, China, the United States, and Canada, with 99% (23,728 tons) of total volume imported from Russia. It was imported in the order of 1% (153 tons) from China and 0.2% (55 tons) from the United States.
The import unit price was the highest at USD 2.85/kg from Russia, USD 1.97/kg from China, and the lowest at 1.73/kg from the United States.
In October 2021, frozen cod imports amounted to USD 5.77 million, an increase of 45% from USD 3.97 million a year earlier.
The average import unit price in October was USD 3.22/kg, up 41% from USD 2.29/kg last year.
