The Galician organization consolidates its pioneering commitment to the transformation and direct commercialization of its catches at the prestigious fair.
Madrid - ORPAGU made the bold decision, years ago, to move several steps ahead of the market. It opted to transform and directly commercialize its catches, at a time when innovation was a rarity in the extractive sector. This strategic vision has driven the organization based in A Guarda not only to grow steadily, but also to position itself as a leading fishing reference with an enviable projection at the national level.
At the Salón Gourmets, this firm commitment to innovation materialized once again with the impactful presentation of its new flagship product: a practical bag of frozen swordfish cubes, designed to be easy to cook, healthy, and perfectly adapted to new consumer habits. The launch was celebrated in style with an attractive showcooking at the Xunta de Galicia stand, under the eloquent slogan "Healthy, easy, and delicious," led by renowned chef Criselda Iglesias. The product pleasantly surprised with its versatility and received an excellent reception from both the general public and demanding professionals in the sector.
The day at Gourmets also left significant moments in the institutional sphere. ORPAGU had the honor of receiving a visit at its space from the President of the Xunta, Alfonso Rueda, who personally congratulated the organization for its outstanding trajectory and its remarkable ability to innovate without losing its deep connection to the sea. Likewise, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, approached the Interfish stand, of which ORPAGU is an active and fundamental partner.

The prominent presence at Gourmets also served as a platform to explore new and promising business avenues and to actively participate in the presentation of the "Meet our protective fish" campaign, promoted by Interfish, with the notable intervention of Joaquín Cadilla and a spectacular swordfish carving (ronqueo) that stood out as one of the great attractions of the fair.
With the solid foundation of its deep roots in the sea and a clear gaze towards the future, ORPAGU demonstrates with facts that innovating in the fishing sector is not only a real possibility, but an imperative necessity. And that well-executed work, with a long-term strategic vision, is what ultimately makes the difference in a competitive market.
