Agrosuper will launch OPA to take full control of AquaChile

Agrosuper has reached an agreement to buy 67 per cent of the salmon company Empresas AquaChile SA to its majority shareholders.

The company today informed the Commission for the Financial Market, through an essential fact, that on August 4, "Agrosuper and the majority shareholders of AquaChile SA, Holdings Salmones Limitada and Inversiones Patagonia Limitada signed a "Contract of Purchase Agreement and OPA" to acquire all of its ownership interest in that company, equivalent to 67 per cent of the total shares duly issued, subscribed and paid".

The transaction, which considers a price that amounts to USD 850 million, will be materialized through a Public Offer of Shares (OPA) for the acquisition of 100 per cent of the shares of the company.

The closing of the purchase is subject to the usual conditions of operations of this nature, including the approval of the free competition authority.

This acquisition will allow it to generate environmental, health and commercial synergies. and, according to Agrosuper, it reinforces its vocation "to produce food of the highest quality and freshness for customers and consumers of the most demanding markets in the world, hand in hand with responsible production with the environment and close to neighbouring communities".
