Fish weight batching line is developed for flexible amount batching needs with high speeds and capacity
Improved Efficiency with Peruza’s Automatic

Weight Batching Line
Sustainability concerns, dwindling stocks and increased competition from low-wage economies have all been driving the European fish industry over the last ten years to ever greater levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
Today’s fish industry has moved on in leaps and bounds from simply landing fish and processing them by hand, with many of Europe’s plants turning to high-end automated systems to improve outputs, save time and cut down on waste.
Automatic Weight Batching Lines
Although the fish processing industry is rapidly adapting to modern challenges, in many plants, batches of fish are still weighed manually. This is a time consuming process that can tie up workers and slow production times significantly.
Whether a fish processing facility is small or large in scale, an automatic weight batching line can significantly increase productivity, paying for itself in a relatively short space of time, as well as increasing product uniformity and minimizing waste.
The Peruza Solution
Latvian specialists Peruza have been developing their range of fish processing machinery for over 30 years, achieving huge increases in productivity in the process. Their weight batching line is the perfect example of this constant evolution — combining high-speeds and capacity with huge increases in efficiency.
The Peruza Weight Batcher in Operation
The automatic weight batching line can be used for fish, meat, vegetables or any other product that needs to be packaged in specific weights.
The process starts by filling a hopper tank, which is fully adjustable in order to accept different product sizes.
As the items travel along the conveyor, they are separated and distributed horizontally into precise, adjustable batches with a variation of only 1-2 items. A swappable discharge chute allows multiple packaging styles to be filled during the process.
The automatic batcher is able to work far more efficiently than a human packing team, with less damage to delicate products and the ability to combine several processes into a single operation.
The entire process is easily programmable and adjustable in weights up to 20kg, and is able to process around 10-20 weighed batches per minute. When combined with automated box folding equipment and robotized packaging, processing plants can enjoy huge increases in productivity and efficiency.
Peruza Sets the Standard
Peruza’s continual development of both mechanical and AI driven technologies blends skilled workforces with robotic precision, improving the efficiency and cost effectiveness of fish production plants, and ensuring the survival of a vital sector of the food industry.
