Johan Kvalheim resigns as Managing Director for North Atlantic Seafood Forum, NASF, – and join the Norwegian Seafood Council as Director of Japan and South Korea.
Johan Kvalheim has informed the Board of North Atlantic Seafood Forum that he will resign from his position as Managing Director to become Director of Japan and South Korea for the Norwegian Seafood Council.
The process of recruiting Kvalheim’s successor has started. Chairman, Mr. Henning Lund, expect to finish the process well in advance of Kvalheim’s departure, latest 31st of December. The Board would like to thank Kvalheim for his contribution and wish him all the best for new challenges in Asia.
Until the successor is in place, Kvalheim will continue planning the 16th edition of North Atlantic Seafood Forum, that will take place in Bergen on the 9th to 11th of March 2020. This year, the 15th jubilee conference, was held on 3rd to 5th of March and despite uncertainty around the Covid-19, the turn up was almost as previous years.
NASF is today the worlds largest Seafood Business conference for top executives with around 850 delegates from 35 countries representing 300 companies. The conference covers a wide perspective and focus on salmon, whitefish and pelagic. Other areas that also are covered are technology, innovation, sustainability, politics and finally finance and investment opportunities within the
industry. In addition to the main conference there are several side events during these three days.
North Atlantic Seafood Forum was established by Mr. Jørgen Lund in 2005.
