Agrosuper subsidiary closes purchase of Friosur for USD 235 million

Agrosuper SA has informed the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF) that its subsidiary Exportadores Los Fiordos Ltda. has completed the purchase of Piscícola Hornopirén, Salmones Friosur and Salmones Frioaysén.

It is worth recalling that on June 7, the parties signed a contract for the promise of purchase and sale of assets related to salmon farming. That operation was subject to the usual conditions of this type of operations, which to date have been met.

Through an essential fact, Agrosuper general manager José Guzmán Vial informed the CMF that on December 4, the representatives of his company and Friosur finally closed the transaction, which "includes the incorporation of workers linked to the operation, a fish farm located in Hornopirén, 40 maritime concessions distributed mainly in the Aysén region and the respective biomass".

In the note, Guzmán also indicated that the price paid was USD 235 million, and that "to this date it is not possible to determine the financial effects that the transaction may have on the assets, liabilities or results of Agropesur".
