Fiskebåtredernes Association's interest and employer association for the whole Norwegian fishing fleet. Virtually all fishing vessels over 27.5 feet is a member of the League. Fiskebåtredernes Association was founded in 1946. From primarily being an employer organization has grown to become connected to both the organization and the employer association for companies in deep-sea fishing fleet. Fiskebåtredernes Association is headquartered in Aalesund and branch office in Tromsø and Bergen.
The association is divided into five member organizations:
North Norwegian Shipowners' Association comprises the three northernmost counties.
Aalesunds Shipowners Association includes Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal. Sogn og Fjordane Shipowners Association covers this county.
West Norwegian Shipowners' Association covers the area Hordaland-Swedish border.
Norwegian Trawl Association is a trade association for the trawler companies in Norway, and includes both factory ship fleet and fresh fish / day freezer trawlers.
