Fiordo Austral Group is a Chilean company, world leader in the elaboration of products of high nutritional value for people and animals. The group consists of 1,200 people, distributed in 7 industrial complexes that are located in the Metropolitan, Del BíoBio, Los Lagos, Aysén and Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Regions.

• The year 2010 and as a way to cope with the crisis generated in the salmon industry from the appearance and spread of the ISA virus, the merger of Pesquera Pacific Star S.A. takes place. and Salmonoil S.A. Also during 2010, the new company acquired the Squad Plant belonging to the Foodcorp company, in the city of Coronel. This project includes long-term contracts with artisanal fishermen in the area. Raw materials processed at the new plant included by-products of the shrimp and cuttlefish industry, as well as the capture of the southern sardine and common sardine species.
• During 2012, the shareholders of Fiordo Austral reached a merger agreement with the company Trio S.A. Trio is a company that, like the other subsidiaries of Fiordo Austral, has as its business base to transform and add value to by-products from the food industry.
  
• In May 2015, Fiordo Austral completed the purchase of 60% of the Aquaprotein company, located in the city of Porvenir. Aquaptotein produces hydrolyzed protein and oil from the by-products of the salmon industry in the XII Region.
  
• In 2016, Fiordo Austral acquires 100% of the SMT shipping company from the Von Appen group. This company comes to reinforce the range of solutions that Fiordo Austral offers to the salmon industry.
  
• During the first half of 2017, Fiordo Austral acquired 40% of the Aquaprotein company, of which it already owned 60%.
