The president of the Fisheries Producers Organization (OPP) Anacef, Francisco Freire, yesterday called attention to the European Union (EU), as well as Guinea-Bissau and Mauritania—fishing grounds with which there are European fishing agreements—in the face of the "significant reduction" in catches off the African coast due to "unfair" competition from other countries such as, he mentioned, China and Turkey.
