Lofotprodukt AS is a Norwegian seafood manufacturer, established in 1994 in Lofoten, Northern Norway. Its location, right in the middle of the Gulf Stream, means immediate access to fresh fish, raised in the cold, clear waters surrounding these beautiful islands. Lofoten´s distinctive landscape of steep mountains and sharp peaks is home to the world’s largest and most traditional cod fishery. These islands boast a long fishery tradition, providing high quality seafood products world-wide.
Lofoten offers a wide range of high quality seafood products in the following categories:
– minced seafood products (such as fish burgers), – smoked and marinated salmon and trout, – complementary seafood products (such as sauces).
They are currently approx. 150 employees with solid skills and experience. Since its establishment, they have had a positive turnover development.
In 2003 changed the brand from "the Lofoten-Traders" to "Lofoten". This in conjunction with a new design program where we revitaliserer marked. We wish to clarify the quality and breadth of assortment. In addition, "struts" we are all the positive values inherent in the concept of the Lofoten Islands, over fishing and fish processing
Lofoten Product AS acquires the activity of Madam Bergen AS
The company has experienced an adventurous growth over the last decade. From being a local manufacturer with a turnover of almost NOK 35 million in 2001, our products are currently found in retail shelves and refrigerators in all the municipalities of the country and in 2013 we achieved a turnover of NOK 312 million.
Active focus on quality, design, product development and sales work with taste demonstrations in stores has been central to our growth. Our goal is to be in the lead in the seafood category, and we want to offer consumers product concepts and packaging solutions adapted to ever changing needs.
In 2013, Lofotprodukt was voted the year's food and beverage producer of NHO, and the year's seafood company of Intrafish and Fiskeribladet Fiskaren.
