SouthPacific Korp S.A. (SPK) is member of the Copec Companies Group, one of the largest business conglomerates in South America. SPK engages in the elaboration of food made from raw materials extracted from the ocean, intended for human or animal consumption or industrial use.
SPK´s operations are concentrated in the Bio Bio Region in Chile, where it has two plants to can and freeze products and two plants to produce fish meal and fish oil. It also possesses a fleet of seven open-sea fishing vessels.
November 18, 2010, Merger of Pesquera San José and SouthPacific Korp (SPK) is born a new company in Chile, Orizon SA, which will create a new concept for the fishing company, that will be tightly integrated with scientific development and applied research.
