SCASA (the Société de Conserverie en Afrique s.a) is the largest tuna cannery in Senegal and one of the largest tuna canneries in Africa. The company resulted from Dongwon group’s acquisition of its former body SNCDS (known as the first tuna cannery in Africa) in 2011. Dongwon, known as the world's largest tuna catching fleet company, made tremendous investments to modernize SCASA’s facility meeting the global standards.
SCASA' s products are tuna cans and pouches caught from the Atlantic Ocean. The fishes are mainly supplied by European and Senegalese tuna fishing fleets among which uses environment-friendly Pole & Line method. The company provides high quality seafood products with enough customized packaging solutions to major food retailers and major buyers in North America, Europe, and Africa under their own brands and under our brands as well.
Central to its long-term development, SCASA is committed to sustainable and responsible practices. For this reason we are taking part in programs that promote sustainable fisheries, supply chain security, and ethical trading. This commitment is reflected in our group’s corporate and sustainability strategy.
SCASA is on its path to becoming Africa’s best tuna cannery.
