The End of the Line is a film, a website and an outreach project to raise public awareness about the threat to the world’s fish stocks and to change public policy across the world so that we have a sustainable fishing industry. We expect the film to be completed in the early summer of 2008, to premiere at a major international film festivals over the winter of 2008/09 and to be in cinemas and on television world wide during 2009/10.
The film is being made through a specially established company, The Fish Film Company Limited. We have raised funds from private investors, charities and foundations. These include the Channel Four British Documentary Film Foundation, WWF, the Waitt Foundation, Oceana, Marviva, the Oak Foundation and the Marine Conservation Society. We are still raising money to support the distribution, marketing and out reach campaign, to which we already have some funds committed.
