Norway Pelagic ASA (Public, OSL:NPEL) is a Norway-based company active within the pelagic fishing industry. The Company is engaged in fishing, processing and distribution of pelagic fish from the Arctic Ocean, which include herrings, mackerels and capelins.
As of December 31, 2008, it had ten production facilities situated along the Norwegian coastline in Bodo, Liavag, Maloy, Alesund, Sommaroy, Selje, Kalvag, Floro, Bergen and Karmoy.
Norway Pelagic ASA has been established as a result of a merger between Koralfisk AS, Bergen Fiskeindustri AS, Domstein Pelagic AS, Global Fish AS and Bernt Hansen Eftf AS.
30-6-2011: Completion of merger between Austevoll Fisk AS and Norway Pelagic AS
Austevoll Seafood ASA will upon completion of the merger receive 2,768,954 new shares in Norway Pelagic ASA, and will after the completion increase its shareholding in Norway Pelagic ASA to 7,978,994 shares. The ownership of Austevoll Seafood ASA in Norway Pelagic ASA will be increased from 33.27 % to 43.3% of the total shares and votes in the company.
