Every year IFFO hosts the world's only conference dedicated to the fishmeal and fish oil industry and its value chain partners. Hosted at a different city of the world each year, the annual conference attracts well over 400 delegates plus companions, drawn from over 35 different countries.
The conference venue rotates between 3 world zones: the Americas; Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA); and Asia and Australasia. The first annual conference of the IFFO organisation was held in Paris in 1960, and since then we have been in five different continents (see list of conference venues). Currently the annual conference has a three day format, from Monday to Wednesday, and is usually held in October or November.
