In January, imports of frozen skate decreased by 28% compared to the previous month

Until January 2022, a total of 98,158 tons of marine products were imported into Korea, so the 340 tons of frozen rays represents 0.35%, down from 0.50% in 2021.

In the same period of 2021, 95,292 tons were imported, of which imports of frozen rays were 473 tons. In January 2022, frozen ray imports amounted to 340 tons, 28% less than the 473 tons of the previous year.

From 2017 to 2022, the average January import volume was 699 tons, and this year's import volume decreased by 51% compared to the average, with the highest import volume in 2019 and the lowest import volume in 2019. low this year.

The main exporting countries of frozen skate are 11, including the United States, Argentina, Uruguay and China. According to customs statistics, 28.5% (97 tons) of the total supply has been from the United States, 25.5% (87 tons) from Argentina, 7.6% (26 tons) from Uruguay and 7 .3% (25 tons) from China.

          

The average import unit price per country was the highest with USD 3.64/Kg for the product from Argentina, and the lowest with USD 2.16/Kg for the US and Guinea USD 1.00/ kg

In January, frozen ray imports amounted to USD 690,000, 38% less than the USD 1.24 million of the previous year, and the average import unit price in January was USD 2.04/Kg, 14% more than the USD 2.38/Kg of the previous year.
